Samuel Poore, MD, PhD, is a UW Health plastic and reconstructive surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Poore performs plastic and reconstructive procedures, including complex hand surgery, microsurgery and body contouring after bariatric (weight loss) surgery. He specializes in reconstructive surgery after complete or partial mastectomy for breast cancer. He also treats patients who choose breast removal and reconstruction due to high-risk family or genetic histories. Dr. Poore is also involved in research on leading-edge plastic and reconstructive surgery and biomedical engineering.
