Sameer Shakir, MD

About

Dr Shakir was born in Michigan and grew up in Ohio. He was valedictorian of his high school class and was accepted into the Guarantee Admission Program at the University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine where he received the University’s Chancellor’s Scholarship for his undergraduate studies. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. A graduate of the Physician-Scientist Training Program while at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr Shakir performed bone biology research focusing on tissue engineering applications for the craniofacial skeleton.
