Dr. John S. Alspaugh, MD, FACS

About

Dr. Alspaugh graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Chemistry from Wake Forest University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ohio State University in 1982 and again graduated cum laude. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor fraternity as a junior medical student. Dr. Alspaugh then completed a five year General Surgery residency, 1982-1987, where he culminated as Chief Resident at the Medical College of Virginia. The following two years, as a Plastic and Reconstructive Resident at the Medical College of Virginia, he was awarded the Theogaraj Academic Award. He completed his medical training with a Microsurgery Fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute, Louisville, KY in 1990.
